from far stage right, in the upper deck of the arena. Video is very
clear, seems very close to the stage. Audio is fair; maxed out &
distorted most of the concert, but still ok. Very little
interference. Back in Black starts late. Camera is blocked during
part of Ballbreaker. Camera is blocked during part of Rock and Roll
Ain't Noise Pollution. Camera is blocked during part of TNT.

converted to .mpg using ProCoder.
This DVD was shot at the rehersals for that gig. It
was shot by David Robertson, who worked for Smith's manager, Tim
Collins. He shot the entire making of the Pump album, using an old
regular 8mm video camera with a mono mike.Take from the master tape,
this DVD is a fascinating look at two great forces at ease.

GET BACK&ldots;2DVDr
Years in the making, we proudly offer collectors a
truly comprehensive collection of Get Back material as its never been
seen before!
Get Back - Stereo Video Album:
Well get to the new outtakes in a moment, first
we want to inform you that this DVD set includes a full length 13
track Get Back video LP with each track remastered in glorious
stereo. Why just listen to the LP when you can watch it? You
cant beat visuals!
Upgraded DVD Features Picture Perfect has
overhauled the old static menus by adding interactive menus screens
and Chapter pages that are easy to navigate and read. Artwork themes
from several Get Back / Let It Be covers have been combined to create
unique artwork with special detail given to correct colors and
special fonts. Double sided artwork and booklet enhance the package
with plenty of rare photos and track listing information. Original
Picture Perfect DVDs are always factory pressed and printed,
beware of cheap homemade imitations.
The Get Back recording sessions:
Headlining the package are 46 minutes of recording
sessions from two productive days at Apple Studios January 23 &
25, 1969. January 23 was devoted almost entirely to creating the song
Get Back and here we get a fly on the wall view into the
recording 0process. Here we see the Beatles chat, joke, tune,
rehearse and try some serious 0 attempts at recording the song. Over
75% of this footage has not been seen in this form, meaning inferior
copies of some of this footage has circulated, but contained few
moments of audio that matched the film. 0Here we proudly present all
the footage with correct audio painstakingly researched from hours of
Nagra audio reels. This process required studying silent footage and
finding the bits of sound required to sync to film. A tedious process
indeed, but one that comes with a big pay off &ldots;46 minutes of
Beatles recording footage!
Highlights include:
Paul showing Billy Preston the piano chords to
Let It Be for the first time, John imitating Yoko, The
Ive Got A Feeling/Help!/Please Please Me segment
tha now runs longer then ever before. The sessions for the 23rd also
include some very long control room segments. We see and hear the
excitement over the Get Back recording progression, with
comments about getting it out as a single NOW. Even George expresses
his excitement over the song. The Beatles can be seen and heard
saying that they are packing it in for the night and thus ends the
days session.
For You Blue:
A real rarity, a recording session devoted to
Georges new song! Completely new to DVD are the following
segments: George introduces the song and explains its origins. Long
rehearsal segments that include George naming the song at Johns
request. John experiments with different objects to play the slide
guitar. George inquires about piano sounds and how to make it sound
like an old honky-tonk. Take 2 with several false starts, control
room segment with George Martin and more.
Note: The recording sessions listed above now appear
for the first time from the master source tape for this material. Any
previous release of this material has come from a 3rd generation VHS
with incorrect audio. Also please note, this is not the Get Back
session footage that concentrates on John and Yoko. This footage
contains shots of all four Beatles from both A&B cameras.
Winter of Discontent:
Beatles - This is the additional disc included with
Get Back.
Highlights include the 2nd reel of Get Back outtakes,
appearing far superior to previous issues of this material.
Extensive time went into the remastering of this footage.
The inferior audio has been replaced with improved
sound sources from the Nagra rolls.
The reel had several silent segments that have now
been located and synchronized.
In addition to the remastering, the entire reel has
been placed in chronological order.
Highlights include: All Things Must Pass,
Commonwealth, House Of The Rising Sun, a
visit from Peter Sellers, Two Of US, Let It Be
rehearsals, I Want You.
As a bonus, we have left in Jamming With Yoko.
January 26, 1969: Highlights includes:
Rip It Up/ Shake Rattle and Roll,
Kansas City/ Miss Ann / Lawdy Miss Clawdy in STEREO!
Also included:
LET IT BE&ldots; NAKED promotional reel.
This material was produced by Apple in 2003, and
contains some incredible color footage from the January sessions.
Special Bonus tracks:
August 22, 1962. With the January 30th rooftop concert
being the last filmed Beatles concert, we thought we would include
some truly rare footage from the Beatles first professionally filmed
performance. For over 40 years, fans have only seen edits of the
Cavern Club performance of Some Other Guy.
Here we present the song unedited as it exists in the
Granada archives, plus nearly 5 minutes of unseen raw footage! This
footage is a direct copy off a station tape, not some Internet download.

This is not the complete concert
as the complete version has never been brodcasted. There are four
songs missing. School Days was played as the 2nd song, South of the
Border as the 6th, Liverpool Drive (an instrumental) as the 12th and
My Ding-A-Ling as the 16th. The last one was removed by request by
Chuck himself as it was going to be his new single. The middle two
missing songs are available on the bootleg "Six Two Five"
but on the other hand missing some songs from the TV broadcast. If
you combine both of them you'll get 17 of the 19 songs performed. Enjoy!

Rock 'n' Roll icon Chuck Berry. The concert was shown as Sounds for

chat and more innuendo. For the first time there's also a chance to
see an epic performance of My Ding-a-ling which was to become one of
Berry's biggest hits.

Edits: The video on this DVDr could use some
remastering, so I just did that. Image wise it was ok but a little
dark and the usual dist around the edges, trimmed those of and adjust
the levels. When the edges were trimmed the aspect ratio looked more
like 16:9 than orginal 4:3. I decided to transform it into widescreen
when I was at it, with just a minimal stretch to fit. The audio was a
bit low on the source so I boosted that to maximum also. Beside the
low audio there were some audio gaps that I filled out. Audio is in
sync at all times.
Notes: This 25-minute U.S. television performance is
currently the only pro-shot footage in circulation from the SABOTAGE
era. It was Sabbaths first appearance on Don Kirshners
Rock Concert, a late night music showcase that ran from 1973 to 1981.
They also reappeared on this program in 1980 with new vocalist Ronnie James-Dio.
For quite a while, we have been led to believe that
this show was filmed at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, CA, USA, due
mainly to the claims of a few Sabbath collectors. In March 2004, Dave
Tangye set the record straight in his book HOW BLACK WAS MY SABBATH.
We were in the right state and off by a few days, but the Don
Kirshner film is actually from a show at Santa Monica Civic Center in
Santa Monica, CA. I'm still looking for confirmation on the exact
date, but my best guess would be September 3rd or 4th, 1975.
The performance itself is excellent! The band are
enjoying themselves and Ozzy has his voice under control. The film
allows us to see the 'snowflakes' the band used during their 1975
performances of "Snowblind". It's kind of funny to see
these flakes covering the band as they played. You can see the white
stuff all over the stage for the remainder of their set! For
"Black Sabbath, a large silver cross was raised above Bill's
drum set. Also, note the carnations that adorned Bill's drum kit.
This was a decoration he had adopted for that particular tour.
The arrangement of "War Pigs" is a bit
skewed, as though the band went into the wrong section at one point.
They are able to recover the song without noticably screwing up.
Pristine copies used to be hard to come by, since
Sabbaths Don Kirshner 75 performance had only been
rebroadcast a handful of times since the show went off the air.
However, some excellent quality copies have recently been circulated
on DVD-R by fans and bootleggers. Most appear to originate from the
MUSIQUE program that aired on French TV's Canal Jimmy. The best copy
I've seen had beautiful image quality, but was the motion was quite
jerky. This problem could be a combination of PAL video standards
(which has have a lower frame rate) and dropped frames from the
original capture. (Note: I have yet to find any copies of the 1980
show on video)
One company that resells old TV footage to the media
recently bought the rights to the Don Kirshner catalog and there was
talk of extra footage and restoration work, but nothing
has materialized as of yet. At least there is hope that we will
eventually see nicer copies of this show, maybe even with extra songs!
Ever notice how so many TV and radio programs from the
70s would artificially dub in crowd sounds or boost the levels
of the applause between songs? Often, this sounds quite cheesy and
obviously fake. This is done throughout Sabbaths Don Kirshner
appearance and it seems quite unnecessary given that the crowd seemed
genuinely enthusiastic to begin with. Because they didnt mix
the overdubs in very smoothly, the opening notes of
Snowblind and War Pigs are cut off. There
even appears to be a small edit during the solo sections in War
Pigs, as the song seems to change unnaturally at one point.
Id have to review this again to hear whether it was a band
mistake or an intentional edit. If it were an edit, it wasnt
one that made a great deal of sense to me.
The performance itself is a good one and its a
real treat to be able to see video of the footage of Sabbath from
1975! With only a handful of pro-shot clips of the band in the
70s, the Don Kirshner TV appearance is highly recommended to
both collectors and casual fans.

Eric Clapton
Eric Clapton & His
Rolling Hotel - DVDr
This documentary is of Clapton's
1978 tour of Europe by way of a 2 car train that was orginally used
by Hermann Goering during the Nazi years in Germany. Much of it is
quite boring footage of the train as it was traveling. There is a lot
of interview footage, mostly with Eric but also with some other
members of the tour. Eric seems pretty wasted and/or exhausted during
the interviews.
The most powerful part of the
movie is seeing Eric getting emotional recalling the last time he saw
Hendrix alive. There are a few nice little solo acoustic numbers
performed on the train, but the band performances shown are a mixed
bag. Some is not very inspired, and some is cut in a way that will
frustrates any fan of the music. There are some clips of Muddy
Waters, who was the warm-up act, and the film ends with the ending of
the performance of Further on Up the Road from the last date on the
tour (Civic Hall, Guildford, Surrey, England, Dec. 7, 1978 ) in which
George Harrison and Elton John joined in. The musical highlight is an
extended version of Cocaine. A good performance of Double Trouble is
interrupted by interviews and commentary from concert patrons. There
is a nice version of Layla too.
It's not hard to understand why
this film was never released (it was shown only at a few festivals),
but 1978 was a musical peak for EC, and this is the only chance to
catch a glimpse of it. It's a shame that George Terry and Marcy Levy
were not a part of this final leg of the tour.

Scorcese, this documentary was broadcast once on PBS stations, but
never officially released for reasons which remain unclear. A planned
release on home video was slated for early summer 1995, and
Warner/Reprise produced a limited number of advance copies to be used
for promotion. The promotional copies have both a test pattern and
the Warner/Reprise logo before the program material (see below),
unlike the version shown on PBS. These promo copies also feature a
blistering electric performance of "Driftin" not shown on
the PBS release. DVD-R sourced directly from master promo copy. This,
remastered version replaces the mono soundtrack of the promotional
VHS with the pristine stereo audio mastered for radio broadcast.
Audio remastering and sync by Button productions, new menus and
authoring by Geetarz, and new title menu by the wonderful Joey Jay.

Clapton 2.12 2007 ITV1 Wales
20 years after he was first
profiled, at a time when he was nearing the end of a long spiral of
addiction and alcoholism, Eric Clapton chats to Melvyn Bragg about
how his life has changed in the last two decades. He discusses his
battles with drink and drugs, the tragic death of his son, his
influences and most moving songs with music emerging as the one
constant in a life of emotional turmoil. With rare and previously
unseen archive footage, this is a unique and candid insight into the
life of a living legend.

1) There is the annoying "FOR SCREENING ONLY"

conveniently between songs.

All Stars - DVDr 54
minutes as aired by MTV in 1985. - I have chaptered to each live
performance on this dvd.
If you never saw it you're in for
a real treat. It's an interview, In Studio live performance in front
of a small group of WB label folks...and features George Thorogood
(interviewer). None of these songs have ever been released and all
but one are R&B and gospel cover tunes and of-course the
semi-legendary "My Toot-Toot".
The lineage>cable>JVC
VHS>Maxell vhs tape>Samsung VHS>
Sony Gigapocket capture> Vegas
4.0>rendered to mp2>dvd
The only problem with this dvd
happens during the performance of Let's Go...The wonderful cable
company ran a commercial(video only) over the program...SO you get
the Fogerty audio and the Commercial video for about 60
seconds...other than that this is a 1st generation vhs copy of the broadcast.

THE VATTENFAL COMMERCIAL - DVDr -
Lineage: TV > VHS > DVD-R
Some years ago the Swedish Energy company Vattenfal
used Hendrix in a commercial. The Commercial includes well known
footage, but put it together in a new andinteresting way, and also
added some previously unseen sequences ... Most of the footage is
from Konserthuset, Stockholm 9.jan 1969, 1st Show, although it says
Gröna Lund Amusement park 1968 in the commercial. This is more
or less what the guy says at the end, 33 years later:
"What happened was of course completely right.I
don't regret anything. People must be given the opportunity to ride
on the merry-go-round."

1. The Tonight Show 10-13-92 (3:19) This somewhat
uneven performance features John Hammond sitting in with John Lee
Hooker on "Bundle Up and Go". Jay Leno screws up the
introduction, the house mix is less than perfect and it takes a while
before it comes together. But hey, this is the Blues right? This
segment must have been squeezed in at the end of the show that night.
2. CBS Sunday Morning 4-11-99 (8:57) An excellent sit
down interview by Allison Stewarthighlights a look at the John Lee
Hooker's career. At 81,he was still going strong. This video is
sprinkled with John Lee Hooker performing in concert and historical
photos. There are also thoughts by Bonnie Raitt and his personal
manager, Mike Kappas. As with all CBS Sunday Morning presentations,
this is wonderful |

GOD SAVE THE KINKS! This is spectacular! Amazing
quality video of the Kinks' 1973 performance on BBC's "In
Concert" series. Having been a Kinks kultist for years, I've
been eagerly awaiting some live Kinks videos on the Groove, and this
far exceeds all expectations!
Timing is perfect on this, too. Just over a week ago I
picked up Doug Hinman's fascinating new book "The Kinks: All Day
and All of the Night". This attempts to put together a
day-by-day journal of ALL of the Kinks' professional (and some
personal) activities from 1961-1996. I've been geeking my way through
it cover to cover, and am currently in 1975. And I'll tell ya, the
Kinks did a whole bunch of inventive television performances over the
years, and I can't wait to see more!
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: according to Hinman's meticulously
researched book, the date on this DVD and in the info file is
INCORRECT. While the Kinks did produce a TV special in January '72
for BBC called "The Kinks at the Rainbow", this is not it.
Descriptions of the '72 special include rehearsal shots, interviews
with locals at the Archway Tavern, none of which are in this video.
Plus the setlist from that show (actually filmed at the Rainbow on
1/31/72) was totally different.
CORRECT INFO: the book lists a filming on 1/24/73 at
the BBC Television Centre in West London, for the BBC's "In
Concert" series. And then it goes on to describe the setlist and
players from this video. Also note that the video itsself says (C)
1973 at the end; I doubt the BBC would have sat on this for a year
before broadcasting (and copyrighting) it.
So assuming that Hinman is correct (which in this case
I trust, as these BBC sessions are well documented), I suggest that
info files and future cover art be updated to reflect this corrected information.

This TV show is a superb time
capsule from the late 1960s. It features performances (mostly
lip-synched, as was the norm at the time) from some of the day's
contemporary musicians. It's truly "of the moment" and
really is a treat to watch. The performances were taped at the CBC's
Toronto studios in August and September, 1967.
rom the telecast, here is the
introductory statement from host Noel Harrison:
Our show tonight is about
"today." It's about the freeing of the mind through lyrics,
poetry, music, sights and sounds. You don't have to like everything
you see; and that is indeed a part of the philosophy of today. Today
is where you are, whether you like it or not, so look at it. We're
going to show you some of the young talent that is pushing back the
frontiers and finding a whole new scene for themselves."
From pre-broadcast interview with
Harrison in the Globe and Mail:
I think it's going to be the best
popular music program ever produced on TV" Harrison said.
"It's honest; isn't trying to feed anybody any lines. The
English have no money to do this type of thing; the Americans get
panicky. Yeah, Canadian TV seems much more open. The media in the
States are worried only about creating the effect. Up here they give
us enough time to record."

ineage:
his TV show was liberated from the
CBC archives about 10 years ago. A gentleman who was working there on
a short-term contract during the lonely overnight hours was able to
make himself a VHS dub directly from the original 2-inch master. He
was then kind enough to make me a VHS copy from his VHS dub. At the
time he made me swear to keep it a secret, which I did and
consequently I forgot about the tape for many years. My copy was
recently uncovered during a cellar decluttering session much to my
pleasant surprise. I contacted the liberating gentleman to see if the
lower generation source was available for torrenting. But alas, he
informed me that his wife had recorded the series finale of Dawson's
Creek over his tape. Naturally, he was more than a little embarrassed
about this mishap and offered the aforementioned finale for
torrenting. I politely declined and told him that the statute of
limitations had expired on secret archive dubs, so this show was
going to be shared. All I'm trying to say is that this is the best
available source of this material on my particular branch of the
tree. The CBC will not make you a copy.
VHS was played on my Sony SLV-N71
(consumer) VHS deck, through a Canopus ADVC-300 DV converter and
recorded on my iMac with iMovie. The only editing was trimming 6
segments of the 2 minutes of black (spacers for commercial breaks)
between each segment. Logical chapter markers were inserted. The
iMovie DV file was encoded to mpeg2 by iDVD 6.0.3 with Encoding
Preferences set to "Best Quality." I'm not a particularly
good graphic designer, so I used one of the stock iDVD templates for
the menus. I used the least tacky one I could find. If anyone is up
to the task of making a better menu then please, by all means do so.
I believe that would make the
lineage map look like this:
aster>VHS>VHS>DV(Canopus ADVC-300)>mpeg-2(iDVD)>torrent
In all honesty, it looks more worn
to me than this lineage might imply. Those long horizontal dropouts
are a hallmark of 2" video tape (which was the archival format
of choice until 1" took over in the 80s). And the 2 analog
generations give it a certain nostalgic softness. I suppose it looks
good for a telecast that will be 40 years old (!) this autumn.

Playboy After Dark - DVDrThis was an
hour-long show that ran on network TV (!) from July 1968 to May 1970.
The ever hip and debonair Hef surrounded himself with a bunch of
attractive young pseudo-sophisticates, salted each week with a
variety of personalities ranging from Milton Berle to Mort Sahl, Sid
Caesar to Lenny Bruce, Roman Polanski (and Sharon Tate) to Paul
Mazursky. There was also some amazing music. Here's a description of
the show by Chris Rywalt
(http://www.teevee.org/archive/2000/05/17/)"The camera moved
lazily across a room where a party was going on. A party unlike any
party I had ever seen, on film or otherwise. People chatted in small
groups. Everyone had a drink in their hand. Blacks and whites mingled
freely. Almost everyone was smoking. Quiet jazz filled the room.
Everyone was dressed stylishly and with care. Everyone looked
attractive in a comfortable way. No one looked like a model -- the
guests all just looked like handsome, pleasant people. The light was
soft, yellowish, and diffuse."The camera wandered past the
guests, stopping here and there and catching fragments of their
conversation. The camera rolled along very slowly. Amazingly slowly.
[snip]"Later in the show, the camera panned along and
encountered a band. They were playing jazz. Gradually, as the camera
didn't move, it became apparent that this was a featured band,
performing for the show."And all of After Dark was like this.
Long, languorous camera shots, lingering on details, while an
incredibly civilized party went on, with everyone drinking and
smoking and grooving to the music. And occasionally one of the guests
would turn out to be someone with a talent, who would graciously
agree to share some of it with us."No idea who compiled this
collection but it looks and sounds great. Going strictly from memory
there was:Deep Purple, looking like extras from "Spinal

This is the story of the British rhythm-and-blues
scene of the 1960s, when bands including the Yardbirds, John Mayall's
Bluesbreakers and Manfred Mann, together with rock giants Cream and
Led Zeppelin, transformed the sound of American blues into rock. The
era also spawned such famous guitarists as Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page
and Jeff Beck, and those commenting on the time include drummer
Ginger Baker,John Mayall,PaulJones and bass players Jack Bruce and
Tom McGuinness. Part of R'n'B Night

- DVDr - Broadcast on Sun, 14 Mar 2010, on BBC Four - BBC
Four/Topfield 5200 PVR-C/MPEG Streamclip 1.9.2 / iDVD 7.0.4
Documentary telling the story of what happened to
blues music on its journey from the southern states of America to the
heart of British pop and rock culture, providing an in-depth look at
what this music really meant to a generation of kids desperate for an
antidote to their experiences of living in post-war suburban Britain.
Narrated by Nigel Planer and structured in three parts:
Part 1: Born Under a Bad Sign - focuses
on the arrival of American blues in Britain in the late 50s and the
first performances in UK by such legends as Muddy Waters, Sonny Terry
and Brownie McGhee.
Part 2 : Sittin' on Top of the World -
charts the birth of the first British blues boom in the early 60s,
spearheaded by the Rolling Stones and groups such as
the Yardbirds, Manfred Mann, the Animals and the Pretty Things.
Part 3 : Crossroads - looks at the next,
more hardcore British blues boom of the mid-to-late 60s, with
guitarists Eric Clapton and Peter Green and the international
dominance of their respective bands, Cream and Fleetwood Mac.
Featuring archive performances and interviews with Keith
Richards, Paul Jones, Chris Dreja, Bill Wyman,

Records of blues men like Muddy Waters found
their way by merchant seamen to port cities such as New Castle in
Britain which influenced young kids like Eric Burdon, Keith Richards,
Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton in a
major way. Alexis Korner started his own band and a club which became
the breeding ground for future bands like the Stones and the Cream.
One of these musicians, Chas Chandler becomes a producer, and offers
Jimi Hendrix a contract in England. Hendrix later breaks big at the
'67 Montrey Pop Festival.

Queens of British Pop Part 1 of 2 -
broadcast BBC1 1st April 2009 - DVDr
Queens of British Pop and narrator Liza Tarbuck offer
a celebration of 6 female pop stars, singers and icons that lit us up
from the early 60s to the late 70s.
Programme 1 tells the story of Dusty Springfield,
Sandie Shaw, Marianne Faithfull, Suzi Quatro, Siouxsie Sioux and Kate
Bush - some of the female artists that emerged alongside some of
Britain's defining musical movements, from the Swinging Sixties
through to glam rock and punk.
We give an insight into the lives of these top female
artists, offering first-hand or eyewitness accounts of the highs, the
lows and the obstacles they had to overcome. Our selected artists
have pushed boundaries, played around with gender roles and had their
private lives overshadow their success, but it is their experiences
that have helped change the face of British pop as we know it today.
Includes new interviews with Sandie Shaw, Marianne
Faithfull, Suzi Quatro, Siouxsie Sioux and contributions from Tom
Jones, Lulu, Burt Bacharach, John Lydon, Martha Reeves, Nancy
Sinatra, Mark Radcliffe, Henry Winkler, Marc Almond, Peter Gabriel,
Claire Grogan, Jarvis Cocker, Kiki Dee, Nigel Havers, Lily Allen and
Adele, to name but a few.

Blues Britannia - Can Blue Men Sing The Whites?
- DVDr - BBC4 01 May 2009 - 90minutes. - Satellite>DVD
Recorder(DVD RAM)>HDD>TMPGEnc Author
Documentary telling the story of what happened to
blues music on its journey from the southern states of America to the
heart of British pop and rock culture, providing an in-depth look at
what this music really meant to a generation of kids desperate for an
antidote to their experiences of living in post-war suburban Britain.
Narrated by Nigel Planer and structured in three
parts, the first, Born Under a Bad Sign, focuses on the arrival of
American blues in Britain in the late 50s and the first performances
here by such legends as Muddy Waters, Sonnie Terry and Brownie McGhee.
Part two, Sittin' on Top of the World, charts the
birth of the first British blues boom in the early 60s, spearheaded
by the Rolling Stones and groups such as the Yardbirds, Manfred Mann,
the Animals and the Pretty Things.
The final section, Crossroads, looks at the next, more
hardcore British blues boom of the mid-to-late 60s, with guitarists
Eric Clapton and Peter Green and the international dominance of their
respective bands, Cream and Fleetwood Mac.
Featuring archive performances and interviews with
Keith Richards, Paul Jones, Chris Dreja, Bill Wyman, Phil May, John
Mayall, Jack Bruce, Mick Fleetwood, Ian Anderson, Tony McPhee, Mike
Vernon, Tom McGuinness, Mick Abrahams, Dick Taylor, Val Wilmer, Chris
Barber, Pete Brown, Bob Brunning, Dave Kelly and Phil Ryan. |

This is an enjoyable program in
that many of the interviews are with people not in alot of the other
Who documentaries. Bobby Prodden, Billy Nichols, Richard Barnes &
Richard Evans all give some nice insight. Roger Daltrey also is
interviewed and maybe most fun of all is Pete's mother, Betty
Townshend - what a character! Plenty of great Who clips and a lot of
guitar smashing.

Amy Winehouse: What Really Happened -
DVDr - Lineage: Channel 4 Digital Broadcast (May 6th 2008) > LG
RH277H DVD Recorder > PC
Notes: Channel 4 documentary by Jaques Peretti
following the progressive self-destruction of Amy Winehouse. The
effects of drugs, the paparazzi and bad relationships are the main
focus points. Peretti takes a look at her childhood, her first major
audition, her rise to fame and her current condition of debauched,
drug-induced fragility.
It features interviews with many of the key figures in
her life, live footage and the obligatory film of her smoking crack
cocaine while a 'friend' filmed it all on a mobile phone.
