#3, 4, 6, 7, 11, and 12 were on
The Complete Buddy Holly 6-LP boxed set from around 1979 [MCA 6-80000
in the USA; CDMSP 807 in the UK]; #19 was on For The First Time
Anywhere in 1983 [MCA 27059]. These have all been deleted although
these recordings have not been available since 1979. The deleted
versions also have much better sound that the 1979 release; it is
unclear why Holly's catalog has been ignored by MCA. #18 (acetate
without overdubbed drums) may need to be deleted when an upcoming
CD/DVD package on PRISM Records comes out in the fall of 2005.
#22 is a horribly offensive bit of
racist trash; I deleted it because I wouldn't distribute it even if
someone could prove Holly had some involvement with this track
